Anish R. Kadakia, MD, is an attending orthopedic surgeon and associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine. He is a member of the American Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Society and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He was nominated to the executive committee of the Asia-Pacific Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery in 2011.
Dr. Kadakia focuses on foot and ankle trauma and arthritis. He has expertise in reconstruction, revision surgery and tendon transfers for foot drop. He has served as a guest professor, performing surgery in Chongqing, China. He is the co-editor in chief of the Journal of Orthopedic Surgery and Research. His research work has also appeared in several peer-reviewed publications, such as Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and Clinics in Sports Medicine. He owns an investor share in BioMedical Enterprises.
Dr. Kadakia earned his medical degree at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency at Northwestern's McGaw Medical Center, both located in Chicago. He completed fellowship-training at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
