Jonas R. Rudzki, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Washington Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, a practice with offices in Washington, D.C., and Chevy Chase, Md. He specializes in sports medicine, with an emphasis on treating shoulder, knee and elbow injuries.
His research interests — spanning shoulder injuries in overhead athletes, cartilage transplantation and trauma outcomes — have led him to be published in more than 20 publications, including the Journal of Hand Surgery and Clinics in Sports Medicine. He is a consultant reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Journal of Knee Surgery.
Dr. Rudzki earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine& Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and his fellowship in sports medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He holds memberships with American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
