Attila Poka, MD, has joined the Sandy, Utah-based medical device company CoNextions Medical as the chief medical officer.
Here's what you need to know:
1. Dr. Poka is an orthopedic trauma surgeon. Prior to joining CoNextions Medical, he served as the chief of orthopedic trauma at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
2. As chief medical officer, he will oversee clinical research, educational grants, marketing programs and clinical education for physicians and distributors.
3. CoNextions Medical is preparing to launch its new tendon repair device in the United States. The company is awaiting FDA clearance.
