Raymond B. Raven III, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Burbank, Calif.-based Orthopaedic Surgery Specialists. He specializes in treating elbow, hand and wrist injuries.
He is the managing partner and CEO of Orthopaedic Surgery Specialists, where he focuses on musculoskeletal and neurovascular conditions. Outside of the practice, Dr. Raven serves as an assistant clinical professor in the department of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and holds memberships with the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Raven earned his medical degree from UC San Francisco, where he also did his residency. He went on to complete fellowship training in hand and wrist surgery at the Barcelona, Spain-based Institut Kaplan; pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery at the Dallas-based Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; and hand and upper extremity surgery at the New York City-based St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
