Sang H. Choi, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Florida Ortho Surgeons, an orthopedic and spine practice with locations in Port Richey, Palm Harbor and Tampa. He specializes in ankle, hand, hip and foot surgeries, with experience treating carpel tunnel, ganglion cysts and cubital tunnel syndrome, among other conditions.
He has performed more than 2,000 hip and knee joint replacements, and has expertise with the direct anterior hip approach. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Choi is a design consultant for total knee replacement instrumentation, a consulting physician for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Dunedin Blue Jays and has taught medical students as a clinical instructor. He is a fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Choi earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He went on to complete a residency in orthopedic surgery at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Mich.
