This Southern Gulf Coast Surgery center specializes in Orthopedics and Pain Management. You would join a team of tenured clinicians and physicians who describe their culture as "family." This opportunity would supervise all of the clinical staff as well as work closely with the administrator. RELO package available.
Position Summary: The Clinical Director of Nursing has authority and will be charged with making decisions in the center in the areas of patient care, staffing and clinical financial management. The Clinical Director of Nursing has overall responsibility for clinical operations within the center.
Education, Certification and Experience
• Current and valid FL state license (BSN preferred) -ideal
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration preferred.
• 3+ year's perioperative experience
• 2+ years of full time or full-time equivalent nursing management experience
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification
• Current knowledge and understanding of performance improvement, risk management, and patient safety.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directs and supervises planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating patient care according to pre-defined standards
• Demonstrates leadership capabilities, internal management skills, ability to interact with medical staff and clinic staff.
• Ensures clinical management with the necessary oversight to deliver patient care/nursing practice that meet both safety/risk management standards and legal requirements.
• In conjunction with the administrator participates in budget planning and execution.
• Partners with the administrator in identifying department resources and needs; develops, allocates, administers and evaluates the area budget, while directing and delegating appropriate aspects of the budget process with emphasis on monitoring expenditures in supplies/equipment/staffing and cost control measures
• Actively participates in the accreditation process for the agency and responsible for agency preparation, follow-up and maintenance of accreditation. Ensures staff is continuously prepared for process
• Oversees Infection Prevention Plan for the center.
• Fosters a positive and collaborative rapport among staff and physicians to facilitate the best quality care for patients.
