Scott Adams, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland, a practice with offices in Columbia, Catonsville and Eldersburg. He specializes in sports medicine, with a clinical interest in advanced arthroscopy and orthopedic trauma.
Dr. Adams serves as a physician for the United States Soccer Federation and travels internationally to provide medical coverage for youth teams. In 2012, he visited Japan to provide medical coverage for the Under-20 Women's World Cup. In the United States, he has served as the team physician for Durham, N.C.-based Duke University's athletic teams. Dr. Adams holds memberships with American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
He earned his medical degree at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest University. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at Richmond-based Medical College of Virginia and an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Medical Center. During his fellowship, he was selected for the American Orthopaedic Association's Emerging Leaders Program.
