Heber C. Crockett, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at New West Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery, a practice based in Kearney, Neb. He specializes in the treatment of athletic injuries.
He serves as a team physician for the University of Nebraska at Kearney athletic teams and for the Kearney-based professional club Tri-City Storm Hockey. Outside of his clinical interests, Dr. Crockett serves as an assistant adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska, in the department of health science, leisure and recreation. He holds memberships with American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and American Medical Association, among other professional societies.
Dr. Crockett earned his medical degree at University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at the New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery and a sports medicine fellowship at the Birmingham, Ala.-based American Sports Medicine Institute.
