Mark E. Gittins, DO, is an orthopedic surgeon at OrthoNeuro, a practice with locations throughout Ohio. His clinical interests include arthritis surgery, total joint replacement, ACL reconstruction and sports medicine.
He holds staff privileges at Ohio-based New Albany Surgical Hospital and serves as a team physician for athletes from Team USA Track and Field; Columbus, Ohio-based Capital University and Sunbury, Ohio-based Big Walnut High School. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Gittins serves as a clinical instructor and staff physician for the Athens-based Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine orthopedic residency program. He also sits on the board of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.
Dr. Gittins earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He went on to complete an orthopedic residency at Columbus, Ohio-based Doctors Hospital and a fellowship in Switzerland through AOTrauma.
