Orthopedic surgeon Om Prakash Sharma, MD, joined Essentia Health St. Mary's-Detroit Lakes Clinic.
Here are four things to know about Dr. Sharma:
1. He provides both pediatric and adult orthopedic care.
2. Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in India and completed a residency at the University of Toronto in Canada.
3. In addition to his orthopedic training, Dr. Sharma underwent two fellowships — one in lower limb reconstruction at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and another in pediatric orthopedics at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
4. Dr. Sharma values communication in providing good patient care and finding out his patients' expectations to work as a team on recovery.
