John Franco, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at New Mexico Orthopaedics in Albuquerque, who specializes in sports medicine.
Much of his works focuses on knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle arthroscopies, repairing articular cartilage injuries and MIS.
After graduating from University of California at San Francisco, Dr. Franco completed his residency at University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque and his fellowship at Santa Monica Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in California.
He is a member of the New Mexico Orthopaedics Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship, and he remains involved with the Santa Monica ACL Injury Prevention Project. His interest in sports and preventing adolescent and adult injuries has led him to work as a team physician many times. Most notably, heserved as a team physician at the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup.
