Constantine A. Demetracopoulos, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at HSS Stamford Outpatient Center in Connecticut who specializes in foot and ankle surgeries.
Dr. Demetracopoulos' research interests include ankle arthritis, total ankle replacement, flatfoot deformity and sports injuries of the foot and ankle. His work has been published in Current Reviews in Muscoskeletal Medicine, Duke Orthopaedic Journal and several books and chapters.
Dr. Demetracopoulos graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore before completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. While at Duke, Dr.
Demetracopoulos focused a great deal of his research on the outcomes of total ankle replacement.
