Michael J. Chmell, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing at OrthoIllinois in Rockford.
Dr. Chmell's primary focus is treating patients with knee and hip injuries. He graduated from the University of Chicago Medical School before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and his joint replacement surgery fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard University Medical School in Boston.
