Michael Oberlander, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon, chief medical officer and president of Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Trainer-Rx.
Dr. Oberlander specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine and uses fixation devices for meniscal repair. He is an editorial board member for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and has published several works of his own throughout his career. Dr. Oberlander is also a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
A graduate of North Chicago, Ill.-based Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Oberlander completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center before undergoing his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Columbus, Ga.-based Hughston Clinic.
