Rachel Shakked, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Philadelphia-based The Rothman Institute.
Dr. Shakked specializes in treating foot and ankle disorders and is especially interested in ankle instability, athletic injuries of the foot and ankle and treating cartilage injuries. She utilizes minimally invasive surgical techniques such as ankle arthroscopy and conducts total ankle replacement surgery as well. Dr. Shakked is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, Orthopaedic Trauma Association and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
After obtaining her medical degree from New York City-based Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Shakked completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at New York City-based NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and underwent her fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
