Elkins, W.Va.-based Davis Medical Center added Walter Boardwine, MD, and Carrie R. Arbogast, PA-C, to its Buckhannon, W.Va. practice, according to the Parsons Advocate.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Boardwine came to Davis Medical Center in 2015 from the Grand Junction (Colo.) VA Medical Center and is a diplomat of the National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
2. He specializes in diseases and disorders of the muscles, ligaments and joints and he focuses on hand surgery, reconstruction and joint replacement, arthroscopy and treatment of degenerative joint disease.
3. Physician assistant Carrie Arbogast was previously employed as a surgical and inpatient consult PA at Morgantown-based West Virginia University.
4. Davis Health System President and CEO Vance Jackson noted, "Dr. Boardwine is an outstanding surgeon and has been very well received by patients in Randolph County. He and Carrie will be a valuable addition to available orthopedic care in this region."
