Daniel Markowicz, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital.
Dr. Markowicz specializes in adult joint replacement of the hip and knee, adult joint replacement revision and general orthopedic surgery. He has presented his hip replacement research at international conferences and has lectured on various orthopedic surgery-related topics over the course of his career.
A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Richmond County Medical Society and Brooklyn Orthopedic Society, Dr. Markowicz has also served as clinical assistant professor of surgery at New York City-based SUNY Downstate and as adjunct clinical professor at New York City-based New York University department of physical therapy.
Dr. Markowicz graduated from Columbus-based Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health before completing residency training at New York City-based Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He underwent fellowship training in adult reconstruction and joint replacement at New York City-based The Hospital for Special Surgery.
Dr. Markowicz was awarded the Ferguson Award in Surgery while at Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health in 2003 and the Selznick Memorial Alumni Day Award, 2nd Prize in 2007 while at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
