Dr. Pablo Castañeda named chief of pediatric orthopedic surgery at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital of New York — 4 details

New York City-based Hassenfeld Children's Hospital of New York at NYU Langone has added Pablo G. Castañeda, MD, as its chief of pediatric orthopedic surgery.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Castañeda previously practiced in Mexico City at Shriners Hospital for Children and the American British Cowdray Medical Center for 10 years.

 

2. He will serve as professor of orthopedic surgery at NYU School of Medicine.

 

3. Dr. Castañeda will oversee the expansion of pediatric orthopedics through Hassenfeld Children's Hospital and its affiliated New York metropolitan area locations.

 

4. Dr. Castañeda specializes in hip and pelvic disorders in children and adolescents and treats Legg-Calvé- Perthes disease, Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis and developmental hip dysplasia.

 

NYU Langone Department of Orthopedic Surgery Chair Joseph D.
