The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians has issued an updated version of its Opioid Guidelines for Responsible Prescribing in Chronic Non-Cancer Pain.
Comprised from a panel of 55 authors, the guidelines provide a 10-step process for patient assessments, diagnoses and treatment goals for opioid medication.

The report has two parts: an evidence assessment and guidance.
