Georgia House Passes Pain Clinic Regulation Legislation

Pain Management

The Georgia House of Representatives has approved legislation regulating pain management clinics, according to an Independent Mail report.
The legislation requires pain clinics to get a state license from the Georgia Composite Medical Board beginning in July. This will have to be renewed every two years. It also requires that all new pain clinics be owned by physicians. Clinics that currently exist but are owned by non-physicians will be allowed to remain open but subject to all new regulations.
