Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington (N.C.) Medical Center has shifted pain management and anesthesiology services to physicians at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., according to a report by The Dispatch.
The medical center in Lexington had previously contracted with TeamHealth Anesthesia for these services. Now, six anesthesiologists from the Winston-Salem campus will provide anesthesia coverage in Lexington and additional anesthesiologists who specialize in pain management will join in the fall.
No jobs were lost during the transition, according to the report.
