Dr. Slosar has experience treating patients with cervical and lumbar spinal issues as well as patients with compression fractures. He also treats adult scoliosis, disc herniation and degeneration of the thoracic spine.
"In contrast to most surgeons, I focus first on trying to find a non-surgical option for my patients," Dr. Slosar said. "I am lucky enough to have some of the best spinal injection specialists and pain management doctors in the country as my partners."
Additionally, Dr. Slosar says he seeks to stay up-to-date with minimally invasive procedure techniques.
"I spend a significant amount of time learning about new and exciting technologies that have made modern spine surgery one of the fastest growing and most technologically advanced areas in all of medicine," he said.
Dr. Slosar is a Chicago native who completed medical school at Rush University, and later an orthopedic surgery residency program at Loyola University Medical Center. He was a spine fellow with the SpineCare Medical Group and the San Francisco Spine Institute and has been a partner ever since.
He offers advice for aspiring orthopedic surgeons.
"Remember, once you get out of training, the days of 'limited' work hours are over. The harder you work the better you do," Dr. Slosar says.
