Tanvir Choudhri, MD, serves as co-director of the neurosurgery spine program at New York City-based Mount Sinai. He is also a neurosurgery associate professor.
Dr. Choudhri specializes in herniated disc, kyphosis, low back pain, spinal cord injury, spondylolisthesis and spinal fusion, among other conditions. His clinical interests include cervical spine disorders, minimally invasive spines surgery, spine tumor surgery and sports neurosurgery.
He served on the executive committee of the Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves and has co-edited a textbook. He is a collaborating consultant for the Concussion Management of New York. Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine has published his work.
After earning his medical degree from New York City-based Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Choudhri completed his neurosurgery residency at Columbia's Presbyterian Hospital and NY Neurological Institute. He completed his spine fellowship at Phoenix-based Barrow Neurological Institute.
