Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Kenneth Kaan of Spine Care Center of Hawaii

Kenneth T. Kaan, MD, opened his practice in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1988. He specializes in adult and pediatric spine deformity, degenerative spine conditions and spinal trauma.

Dr. Kaan heads diagnostic clinics throughout Hawaii and performs Independent Medical Examinations. He was one of the first surgeons to perform minimally invasive spine surgery in Hawaii.

 

After earning his medical degree from Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Kaan completed an integrated orthopedic residency at Honolulu-based University of Hawaii and an internal medicine residency at Providence, R.I.-based Brown University.

 

He also completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Honolulu, Hawaii-based Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children and a spine fellowship at Rochester, N.Y.-based University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital.
