Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Phillip Lucas of Brown Alpert Medical School

Phillip Lucas, MD, is a clinical associate professor at Brown Alpert Medical School in Providence, R.I. In 1981, Dr. Lucas oversaw the establishment of the school's spine surgery division.

Dr. Lucas specializes in spinal fusion and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is affiliated with the Scoliosis Research Society and International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery.

 

After earning his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Dr. Lucas completed his internship and residency at Brown University. He then completed his spine fellowship at University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
