Board-certified neurosurgeon Michael Steinmetz, MD, serves as co-director of Cleveland Clinic's Center for Spine Health.
Dr. Steinmetz specializes in cervical spondylosis, chiari malformation, complex spine instrumentation, degenerative spine disease and spinal cord tumors.
A member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Steinmetz is also affiliated with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Society for Neurosciences.
After earning his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Dr. Steinmetz completed his general surgery internship at University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque. Dr. Steinmetz completed his neurosurgery residency at Cleveland Clinic and his spine surgery fellowship at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison.
