Keith Bridwell, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon serving patients at Washington University Orthopedics in St. Louis. He is the J. Albert Key Distinguished Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as a professor of neurological surgery.
Founder and program director of the Washington University spine fellowship, Dr. Bridwell is also the founder and co-director of the pediatric and adult spinal deformity service. He previously served as president of the Scoliosis Research Society.
He specializes in scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal deformities and complex spinal pathologies. Dr. Bridwell's research emphasizes the treatment of idiopathic adolescent scoliosis and adult idiopathic scoliosis, kyphosis and spondylolisthesis and sagittal and coronal imbalance syndromes, among other conditions.
Dr. Bridwell completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and Washington University School of Medicine, and completed his spine and scoliosis fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital, University of Illinois Hospital and Chicago Shriners Hospital, all based in Chicago.
