Jonathan Citow, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon practicing at of The American Center for Spine & Neurosurgery and serving as chief of neurosurgery at Condell Medical Center, both in Libertyville, Ill. He specializes in complex spinal disorders, fusions, minimally invasive spinal surgery, hydrocephalus, trigeminal neuralgia and chiari malformations.
Author of "Comprehensive Neurosurgical Board Review," "Essential Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology" and "Neuroradiology and Neuropathology: text and atlas," Dr. Citow also wrote "Neurosurgery Oral Board Review" and "Neurosurgical Board Review Questions and Answers for Self-Assessment."
Dr. Citow sits on the submission review board of Spinal Cord, and invented the spinal device, Citow Cervical Visualizer.
After obtaining his medical degree from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Citow completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
