Mark Hadley, MD, is a neurosurgeon and professor at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine.
Dr. Hadley specializes in the treatment of spinal column and spinal cord disorders.
Dr. Hadley received his medical degree from the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix in 1983. He completed his residency with 42 cited publications, and three regional and national resident prices. He served for three years as a neurosurgeon in the United States Air Force. He started at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991. He now is the director of residency training and the director of the neurosurgical spine surgery fellowship program.
Dr. Hadley has been recognized as one of the top doctors in America since 2001. He is considered among the top 1 percent in his specialty since 2011. Additionally he has been the medical director of the Neurosurgical Spinal Surgery Fellowship program and the Think First Injury Prevention Program. He has also been the team physician for the University of Alabama and University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Hadley has been published in several journals. He has also authored chapters in medical textbooks.
