Joseph H. Schwab, MD, is an adult and pediatric orthopedic spine surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
His main interests are spine surgery and oncology, which he blends in his research and much of his everyday work with tumors, bone cancer, spine fractures, degenerative spinal conditions and lumbar and spinal stenosis.
After graduating from the Chicago Medical School, Dr, Schwab completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and his fellowships in New York City at the Hospital for Special Surgery and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Schwab is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, and has published his research in The Journal of Arthroplasty, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and numerous other publications over the course of his career.
