Pablo Pazmiño, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at The Spine Cal Institute in Santa Monica, Calif.
He is especially interested in minimally invasive techniques to treat the spine, spine trauma, scoliosis, kyphotic deformities, spondylolisthesis, spinal disabilities, herniated discs and degenerative and developmental conditions.
Dr. Pazmiño graduated from The University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor before completing his residency at the Detroit Medical Center and his fellowships in Brazil and in Beverly Hills, Calif., respectively. He created The Spine Cal Institute to focus solely on treating spine issues.
Much of Dr. Pazmiño's research focuses on hybrid disc arthroplasty, motion preservation and correlation of radiography with anatomy. He is currently enrolling patients in a number of ongoing FDA clinical trials that seek to identify spinal maladies treatment options.
