David A. Doward, MD, is a spine specialist at Jacksonville (Fla.) Orthopaedic Institute.
Dr. Doward specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, interventional spine and sports medicine and performs joint injections as well. He treats arthritis, bursitis, degenerative disc disease, hip pain, scoliosis and many more disorders.
He served as team physician for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL for over three years and is also board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Doward obtained his medical degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., before interning at New York City-based New York Presbyterian Hospital and completing his residencies at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery and Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford University Medical Center. He then returned to New York to undergo fellowship training at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
