Michael Rosner, MD, is a neurosurgeon and vice chairman of the department of neurosurgery at Washington, D.C.-based The George Washington University Hospital.
Dr. Rosner's areas of clinical interest are scoliosis; kyphoscoliosis and other complex spine disorders; degenerative spinal pathology; spinal motion preservation and disc replacement; revision spine surgery and deformity correction; spinal oncology; minimally invasive spine surgery; and neurotrauma.
Dr. Rosner currently serves as professor of neurosurgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has received many research grants to study spinal cord and column injuries in the active duty military population.
Currently sitting on the executive committee of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons Spine Section, Dr. Rosner is chair-elect of the Scoliosis Research Society research committee and has been elected to the Senior Society of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Rosner graduated fro Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee before completing a neurosurgery residency at Bethesda, Md.-based Walter Reed Army Medical Center and underwent fellowship training in complex and reconstructive spine surgery at Chicago-based Northwestern University.
