Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Mitchel Harris of Brigham and Women's Hospital

Mitchel Harris, MD, is a spine surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Harris serves as Brigham and Women's Hospital's chief of orthopedic trauma services. He is also a professor at the Harvard Medical School in Boston.

 

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Harris' interests include spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, spine fractures and spondylolisthesis.

 

After earning his medical degree from the Chicago-based University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Harris completed his residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

 

Dr. Harris underwent fellowship training from the University of Toronto Sunnybrook Health Science Center and Queen's Medical Centre in England.
