William Beutler, MD, has been named medical director of the Harrisburg, Pa.-based PinnacleHealth's new spine institute for comprehensive assessment and treatment of back and neck pain, according to a report from The Patriot-News.
The institute employs orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, pain management specialists, nurses, radiologists and physical therapists. The institute will use intake, triage and referral processes to create individual treatment plans.
If the patient does not require surgery, a nurse navigator will recommend treatment and schedule follow-up care.
