Spine specialist Stephen T. Onesti, MD, FACS, has been appointed the director of neurosurgery at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y.
Dr. Onesti, previously chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center of Brooklyn, will succeed retiring Stephen D. Burstein, MD, FACS, who served South Nassau's neurosurgery department for more than four decades.
