He was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons, as well as a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, according to the report.
The report does not disclose the cause of Dr. Ellis' death. He is survived by his wife and four children, as well as his mother and several siblings.
