A. Nick Shamie, MD, a spine surgeon with UCLA Spine Center and president of the American College of Spine Surgery, recently gave a presentation on minimally invasive spine surgery at Zhejiang University in China.
The lecture discussed minimally invasive techniques and Dr. Shamie has been invited back for future collaboration and lectures with the medical school. The Chinese Consulate also asked Dr. Shamie to operate on a Chinese dignitary while on his trip.
