The University of Southern California has recruited two spine surgeons from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to help expand the spine center at Keck Medical Center. John Liu, MD, and Frank Acosta, MD, will help expand the multi-disciplinary, academic-based spine center and will joint other neurological and orthopedic spine surgeons in seeing patients.
Dr. Liu specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques. He will serve as a professor of neurosurgery and the director of the spine division at the Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Acosta is fellowship-trained in complex spine deformity. He will serve as an associate professor of neurosurgery at the Keck School. He and Dr. Lui both work with clinical care of complicated spinal disorders.
