Dr. Michael Graham First in Texas to Perform Surgery With Secure-C Artificial Disc

Spine

At St. Luke's Lakeside Hospital in Montgomery, Texas, Michael Graham, MD, PhD, FAAOS, performed the first surgical spine operation involving the Secure-C artificial disc in the state, according to a report by The Paper Magazine. The Secure-C artificial disc is designed to simulate the natural range of motion of a spinal disc in the neck, therefore allowing the patient to function as normally as possible.

Dr. Graham, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his fellowship in spine surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
