The University of Buffalo (N.Y.) has named Elad Levy, MD, MBA, the new chair of the School of Medicine and Biosciences' department of neurosurgery.
Dr. Levy is a professor of neurosurgery at Buffalo University, and he focuses on neurovascular disease and minimally invasive spine surgery. His clinical research investigates outcomes of various stroke treatments.
Dr. Levy earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C., and completed an endovascular surgery fellowship at the University of Buffalo. He earned his MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.
He is a fellow of the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association and American College of Surgeons, and he is co-founder of the Endovascular Neurosurgery Research Group, founder of the Program for the Understanding of Childhood Concussions and Stroke and vice chair of the Scientific Committee of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
