AOSpine North America sought insights from industry leaders on the next generation of spine care.
Neurosurgery included the predictions in a supplement titled, "Future Advances in Spine Surgery," in its March issue.

1. The supplement encompasses an introduction as well as 13 articles.
2. Articles focus on an expansive array of topics, including oncology, deformity, degenerative disease, trauma, infection and pain.
3. The experts also shared their thoughts on technological advancements in the areas of osteobiologics, robotics and neuromodulation.
4. The supplement offers a study on developing the cost-benefit relationship for spine procedures, touching on the definition of value and addressing variability.
