Here are eight spine and neurosurgeons making headlines.

The CORE Institute welcomed Michael Slesinski, DO, to its Brighton and Novi locations, both in Michigan. He will be the first spine physician at those locations.

 

Neurosurgeon Kevin Vaught, MD, of Regional Brain and Spine in Cape Girardeau, Mo., became the first neurosurgeon in the U.S. to perform a SI joint fusion using the Mazor X system.

 

Neil Malhotra, MD, of Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine performed Pennsylvania's first endoscopic decompression surgery.

 

Josh Schroeder, MD, and Amal Khouri, MD, performed the first-ever dual robotic surgery.

 

The Leading Physicians of the World featured Woojin Cho, MD, PhD, chief of orthopedic spine surgery at New York City-based Montefiore Medical Center.

 

Adil Samad, MD, joined Tampa-based Florida Orthopaedic Institute.

 

Planet TV is rolling out a new television series, New Frontiers, featuring Zeshan Hyder, MD, of Merrillville, Ind.-based Bone and Joint Specialists.
