Tenex Health Appoints Chief Medical Officer From Mayo Clinic

Tenex Health announced the appointment of Bernard Morrey, MD, to the newly-created position of chief medical officer.


Dr. Morrey will lead the clinical development and implementation of the company’s FAST procedure, an outpatient percutaneous tenotomy conducted under local anesthesia in orthopedic and sports medicine cases. He is presently emeritus chairman and professor of orthopedics at the Mayo Clinic and professor of orthopedics at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.

Dr. Morrey formerly served as president of organizations including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Association and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.

Tenex Health develops and markets therapy treatments for tendon pain resulting from trauma or repetitive motion injuries.
