The center is a collaborative effort between Saint John's Health Center, Patrick Soon-Shiong, MD, Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles and Santa Monica Orthopaedic Group. Co-medical directors for the center are Neal ElAttrache, MD, and Bert Mandelbaum, MD.
Saint John's will add Kerlan-Jobe and SMOG to its family, which will expand the hospital's orthopedic and sports medicine care. SMOG has maintained a relationship with Saint John's for 25 years and will expand its affiliation by converting one of its clinics to a Saint John's outpatient department.
Kerlan-Jobe will convert its clinic at Howard Hughes Center in Los Angeles into a Saint John's outpatient department. The practice will also move its outpatient clinic in Beverly Hills and all inpatient practices to the Saint John's campus. Additionally, Kerlan-Jobe will bring its research and fellowship program to Saint John's.
