The study compared the two treatments among 89 patients who previously underwent failed conservative treatment for tendinopathies of the elbow, quadriceps, patellar and Achilles tendons, as well as plantar fasciopathy. Forty-two of the patients were treated with mcRF and 47 patients were treated with PRP.
There were 33 patients in both groups who showed marked improvement, representing 28 percent and 70 percent of the mcRF and PRP groups, respectively.
