Norwalk Hospital Honors Dr. Nicholas Polifroni With Leadership Award Featured

Chief of orthopedic surgery at Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital Nicholas V. Polifroni, MD, has received the Tracey Award from the hospital, which is awarded for leadership, character, community service involvement and clinical skill, according to a Norwalk Patch report.
Dr. Polifroni is affiliated with Coastal Orthopedics and has a special interest in sports medicine and total joint replacement. During his career, he has served as team physician for a local high school and past president of the Norwalk Medical Society.

Dr. Polifroni earned his medical degree at New York Medical College and completed his residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
