Lewis Yocum, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, is performing reconstructive elbow surgery on Kansas City Royals pitchers Danny Duffy and Blake Wood, according to a USA Today report.
Mr. Duffy sustained a partial ulnar collateral ligament tear in 2010 and Mr. Wood first injured his elbow in 2009. They both opted for elbow surgery, which will take them out of play for the rest of the season.
