Frederick M. Azar, MD, chief of staff at the Campbell Clinic and NBA
Memphis Grizzlies' head team physician, has been named Physician of the Year by the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association.
Dr. Azar is a sports medicine physician and orthopedic surgeon at Campbell Clinic as well as a professor and director of the sports medicine fellowship program at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic department of orthopedic surgery. He has served as the Grizzlies' head team physician since 2001.
