Gary Lourie, MD, a surgeon with the Hand & Upper Extremity Center of Georgia, will perform hand surgery on Braves outfielder Matt Diaz, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report.
Mr. Diaz will undergo the procedure to remove splinters from his right thumb.
